Yes. Exempt statutory entities like 501(3)(c)s don't have to pay taxes either, but the difference with the particular design of common law trust that Randall sets up is that his trusts file no returns. To me, that is at least as significant, if not more so. The privacy, independence, freedom, and sovereignty that that absence of sending in tax returns confers, are priceless and unsurpassed.
